POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Head of Marketing and Communications at Agility Bank plays a pivotal role in crafting and implementing strategic marketing programs and communication strategies aimed at expanding our clientele of women business owners while promoting community-centric initiatives that resonate with our diverse demographics, brand identity, products, and services. This position entails leading a team of marketing specialists, managing all marketing operations, and ensuring that the bank's messaging is in harmony with its mission and objectives. The Head will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive growth, boost customer engagement, and uphold a favorable public image.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Development

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing and communication plans that align with the bank's business goals.
  • Conduct market analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and competitive advantages.

2. Brand Oversight

  • Manage the evolution and consistency of the bank's brand identity across all marketing platforms and materials.
  • Enhance brand positioning and messaging to elevate the bank's reputation and market presence.

3. Campaign Management

  • Design, implement, and assess multi-channel marketing campaigns, encompassing digital, print, social media, and events.
  • Evaluate campaign performance metrics, refining strategies as necessary to meet objectives.

4. Content Development

  • Oversee the production of compelling content for various channels, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and press communications.
  • Ensure all content reflects the bank's brand voice and resonates with target demographics.

5. Public Relations Management

  • Establish and nurture relationships with media outlets, industry leaders, and community stakeholders.
  • Coordinate public relations activities, including press releases, media engagements, and crisis communication.

6. Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing marketing team, promoting a collaborative and innovative workplace.
  • Set clear performance expectations for team members, providing ongoing feedback and evaluations.

7. Financial Oversight

  • Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum return on investment.
  • Track expenses and financial outcomes, making adjustments as needed to remain within budget.

8. Collaboration with Stakeholders

  • Engage with executive leadership, sales teams, product managers, and other departments to align marketing efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding marketing performance and strategic initiatives.

9. Investor Relations

  • Address shareholder inquiries with professionalism and promptness.
  • Establish consistent communication channels for shareholders.
  • Enhance relationships with current and prospective shareholders, ensuring their needs are met with timely and accurate information.
  • Monitor market trends and investor sentiment to offer insights to the executive team.
  • Assist in preparing financial disclosures, including earnings releases and annual reports.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

This role reports directly to the President of the Bank.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:


• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).


• At least 10 years of experience in marketing and communications, ideally within the financial services sector.


• Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective marketing strategies and campaigns.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:


• In-depth knowledge of banking and financial marketing.


• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire a diverse group.


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and a creative approach.


• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, SEO, SEM, and analytics.


• Strong project management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.


• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the banking sector is advantageous.
