Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at L'Oreal USA, Inc. as a Plant Utilities Specialist. This role will be responsible for maintaining and operating all building, utility, and site systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain plant utility supplies of deionized water, low pressure steam, compressed air, waste water, and chilled water.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Conduct water chemical testing for boilers, waste water, and chillers to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot plant electrical control, lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate calibrations of plant instruments, including level gauges, flow meters, temperature, and pressure indicators, to ensure accurate readings and optimal system performance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, making decisions that impact safety, quality, delivery, cost, environment, and morale.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with a willingness to learn new operations and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts directly and commit to team decisions.
