About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Schwans Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing plant maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our frozen pizza factory in Florence, KY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Direct and prioritize maintenance work for each shift to ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained and functioning as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and programmable controller problems, and direct corrective action as necessary.
  • Facilities Management: Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams to perform maintenance on or install plant equipment, and retain files of drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and manuals.
  • Process Improvement: Determine equipment capabilities and requirements by conducting tests under operational conditions, and propose improvements to reduce downtime and improve equipment and employee utilization.
  • Capital Project Management: Involved in the development, management, and review of capital projects, and ensure effective implementation.
  • Employee Development: Manage, train, and develop subordinates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that plant facilities and equipment meet OSHA standards, and that all work is performed in a safe manner with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-9 years of related experience in maintenance management or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
