Job Overview

The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in managing inventory operations, including item setup, SKU organization, and fullness planning, while also supporting cycle counting activities.

Position Highlights:

  • Compensation of $19.00/hour plus a 10% shift differential, totaling $20.90/hour

Work Schedule:

  • Sunday to Thursday, 4 PM to 12:30 AM (mandatory overtime may be required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage item setup by entering detailed information into the inventory management system, including primary pick locations and storage parameters.
  • Identify optimal pick locations to enhance space utilization and maximize picking efficiency.
  • Assist the Inventory Control Manager with various projects as necessary.
  • Continuously monitor inventory levels to address out-of-stock situations and communicate with management.
  • Maintain and update SKU classifications and stock location systems.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and rectify any discrepancies affecting inventory accuracy.
  • Generate weekly fullness reports to track inventory levels.
  • Support outbound operations as required by business needs.
  • Establish and maintain reports on storage fullness and recommend improvements for space utilization.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other necessary equipment.
  • Be prepared to work beyond 40 hours per week as business demands dictate.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs regularly and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly spreadsheet and database software, along with strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in inventory management and SKU control is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
