Location: This position can be performed remotely within the U.S. or based in San Francisco, CA.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst II to contribute to our expanding finance department. This role is integral to our Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, focusing on crafting financial forecasts and models that guide the organization in strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of NerdWallet's corporate financial forecast and overall financial strategy.
  • Evaluate financial opportunities and risks, analyze key business metrics, and assist in reporting to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to facilitate the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, as well as annual strategic planning efforts.
  • Act as a financial partner to General and Administrative departments, aiding in monthly forecasts and annual planning while providing strategic financial guidance for departmental projects.
  • Support the Investor Relations team with real-time and quarterly analyses of financial and operational trends.
  • Maintain our long-term financial model to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls while contributing to process enhancements.

  • Familiarity with US GAAP.
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial role.
  • Experience in forecasting and maintaining financial models.
  • Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Pigment, Oracle ERP, or similar).
  • CPA and/or CFA certifications are preferred.
