Position Overview

The laboratories led by distinguished researchers are in search of a dedicated postdoctoral researcher eager to explore the mechanisms by which the brain encodes and retrieves complex memories. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with three prominent principal investigators, each contributing unique expertise to the research endeavor.

Principal Investigators

Rusty Gage is a highly respected professor of neuroscience, celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to stem cell research and neurobiology. His laboratory is recognized for pioneering advancements in studying the human brain, particularly through innovative technologies related to iPSC-derived neural models.

Lyle Muller specializes in theoretical neuroscience, focusing on computational modeling and applied mathematics. As a professor at a leading university and co-founder of a renowned lab for network science, Dr. Muller is known for developing novel methodologies to analyze large-scale neural dynamics.

John Reynolds is committed to unraveling the neural processes that govern vision, perception, and conscious awareness. His lab employs advanced techniques, including optogenetics, to validate theoretical models that explain these complex phenomena.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will possess a collaborative spirit, creativity, and a profound interest in neuroscience. While comprehensive training will be provided, prior experience in areas such as electrophysiology, computational neuroscience, or cell culture techniques—particularly in deriving neurons from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)—is preferred.

Educational Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in neuroscience or a related field
  • One or more first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals
