Position Description:
The Department of Biology seeks to develop a pool of candidates for postdoctoral scholars (post-doc) positions. The appointment involves substantial and full-time commitment to research, scholarship, teaching, or other professional activities. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need. This posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in a discipline relevant to those comprising the department.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Record of scholarly achievements (publications, funding, awards, etc.).
Application Procedures:
The Department of Biology will accept applications from qualified applicants on a continual basis. Only applications submitted through the Texas State University website will be accepted and considered. Interested individuals should submit a current CV, letter of interest outlining specific academic and professional experiences relevant for a postdoc research appointment, statement of research interests, and unofficial transcripts.
