The role of the Plastics Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) is to oversee supplier partnerships within the Plastics Commodity category, reporting to the Senior Plastics Commodity Manager. This position plays a vital role in shaping and executing the Plastic Commodity Strategy and is part of the Global Integrated Supply Chain Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationship Management (40%): Identify and assess potential suppliers, conduct evaluations, participate in supplier meetings, maintain robust relationships with key suppliers through Supplier Business Reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, manufacturing, materials, and quality), negotiate and manage contracts, enhance Supplier On-Time Delivery, and support inventory management targets.
  • Project Management (30%): Lead project ideation and execution, manage Strategic Sourcing visual management, collaborate with Supplier Quality on supplier qualifications, stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in plastics manufacturing, monitor market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings, and optimize supply chain design for adherence to operational principles.
  • Customer Relationship Management (15%): Work closely with Operations, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to support both internal and external customers, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Global Strategy Execution (15%): Implement the Plastics Commodity Strategy effectively.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier Relationship Management focused on plastics commodities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the plastics market, including materials, processes, pricing dynamics, and supplier landscape.
  • Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier performance enhancement.
  • Strong influencing skills with excellent negotiation capabilities.
  • Expertise in supplier risk management, contract management, and performance measurement tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for supplier and global location visits.
