Position Overview: The Plastics Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for overseeing supplier relationships within the Plastics Commodity category. This role is integral to the Global Integrated Supply Chain Organization and will focus on the formulation and execution of the Plastic Commodity Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationship Management (40%): Identify and assess potential suppliers, conduct evaluations, maintain robust relationships with key suppliers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier performance.
  • Project Management (30%): Lead project ideation and execution, manage strategic sourcing visual management, and partner with Supplier Quality to ensure supplier qualifications are met.
  • Customer Relationship Management (15%): Work closely with internal teams such as Operations, R&D, Engineering, and Sales to support external customers and drive on-time delivery.
  • Global Strategy Execution (15%): Deliver on the Plastics Commodity Strategy and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel up to 30% may be necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier Relationship Management, particularly in plastics commodities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the plastics market, including materials, processes, and pricing dynamics.
  • Proven success in negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and enhancing supplier performance.
  • Strong influencing skills and excellent negotiation capabilities.
  • Experience with supplier risk management and performance measurement tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in building and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively under pressure.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
