Position Overview:
The Plastics Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships within the Plastics Commodity category, reporting to the Senior Plastics Commodity Manager. This role is integral to the Global Integrated Supply Chain Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationship Management (40%): Identify and assess potential suppliers, conduct evaluations, participate in supplier meetings, and foster strong relationships with key suppliers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to enhance supplier performance and manage contracts effectively.
  • Project Management (30%): Lead project ideation and execution, oversee strategic sourcing initiatives, partner with Supplier Quality for supplier qualifications, and stay informed on industry trends to drive innovation and cost efficiency.
  • Customer Relationship Management (15%): Work closely with internal teams such as Operations, R&D, and Sales to support external customers and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Global Strategy Execution (15%): Implement the Plastics Commodity Strategy effectively.
Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel may be necessary.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier Relationship Management focused on plastics.
  • In-depth knowledge of the plastics market, including materials, processes, and pricing.
  • Proven success in contract negotiation and supplier performance improvement.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with supplier risk management and performance measurement tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for supplier visits and global engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in building and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability under pressure.
  • Focus on continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
