About the Role
The State of Montana is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Health Care Facilities Practice, you will play a strategic role in ensuring the compliance and regulatory programs of our state-run healthcare facilities are effective and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the compliance, regulatory, and privacy programs of seven state-run healthcare facilities.
- Act as a HIPAA Compliance Officer to ensure the regulatory compliance of multiple healthcare facilities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all State and Federal laws, regulations, and public policies.
- Communicate and partner with various stakeholders to champion initiatives that promote program requirements.
- Evaluate processes for healthcare and privacy compliance impact at facilities through annual compliance auditing, testing, and monitoring plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare, or related field.
- Ten years' experience in the healthcare field with relevant experience in regulatory compliance in highly regulated environments with a strong focus on ethics compliance.
- Five years' experience in Compliance, Privacy, and Program management operating independently and advising middle and senior management.
- Detailed understanding of government requirements/expectations for healthcare compliance programs.
- Skilled in directing administrative management functions through an organizationally and geographically dispersed healthcare delivery system.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to deliver presentations in an articulate and convincing manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others in handling complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
