Position Title
Senior Financial Claims Specialist - Remote
Role Summary
The Senior Financial Claims Specialist plays a pivotal role in facilitating the claims payment process while adhering to regulatory standards for pharmacy and member disbursements.
This position entails conducting thorough analyses and collaborating across departments on various projects and implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in intricate client and system rollouts, leading discussions on liquidity implications and ensuring adherence to prompt payment regulations.
- Manage issue resolution by collaborating with stakeholders to pinpoint root causes and implement solutions.
- Oversee all escheatment activities by working collaboratively to establish reporting processes and controls, executing annual escheatment tasks, and ensuring compliance with state unclaimed property regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses regarding payment compliance with federal and state prompt payment laws and contractual obligations.
- Identify and spearhead process enhancements to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the Treasury and related divisions.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members, showcasing professionalism and leadership.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Additional Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong critical thinking abilities.
- Willingness to mentor junior team members.
- Experience in managing unclaimed property.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance and contractual terms to projects.
- Adaptability to organizational changes and proficient time management skills.
- Capacity to earn the respect and trust of senior management and work effectively with all organizational levels.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CTP, CPA, or CMA certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
- Constantly required to sit, use hands for handling or feeling, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Principal in the Treasury department.
Compensation
- The potential salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $128,400, depending on experience and skills.
