Position Overview

The State of Montana is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Facilities Quality and Regulatory Affairs Officer within the Health Care Facilities Practice (HCFP).

This role is pivotal in overseeing the Compliance and Regulatory Programs across seven state-operated healthcare facilities. The officer will be responsible for strategic planning and operational leadership concerning compliance and regulatory matters, as well as the management of a comprehensive compliance program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage compliance, regulatory, and privacy initiatives across multiple state-run healthcare facilities.
  • Act as the HIPAA Compliance Officer, ensuring adherence to privacy regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with all applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to promote initiatives that meet program requirements.
  • Conduct annual compliance audits and evaluations to enhance healthcare and privacy compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in regulatory compliance within highly regulated environments.
  • Five years of experience in Compliance, Privacy, and Program management, with a proven ability to advise senior management.
  • In-depth knowledge of government regulations and expectations for healthcare compliance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of collaborating on complex issues.
  • Proven capability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government entities and healthcare providers.
