EHS Engineer for Environmental Compliance

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer to contribute to our operations. In this role, you will ensure adherence to all environmental, health, and safety standards while working with advanced Printed Circuit Boards (PCB). The EHS Engineer will primarily operate on the production floor, collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and facilities teams to maintain a secure work environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regularly assess and revise company policies to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Educate and supervise staff on health and safety protocols.
  • Observe personnel and work environments for compliance.
  • Promote and advocate for safer operational equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Document incident statistics and generate reports.
  • Monitor exposure levels to hazardous substances.
  • Lead the 8D analysis process following incidents to enhance learning and prevent future occurrences.
  • Coordinate health and safety initiatives, including LOTO, noise management, PPE usage, and hazard evaluations.
  • Engage in project engineering design activities within the company.
  • Gather process data such as air flow, contaminant levels, and noise assessments.
  • Train and manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to effectively address safety incidents at all times.
  • Develop communications regarding environmental, health, and safety matters.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledgeable about the chemicals, gases, and equipment utilized in the PCB sector.
  • Capable of conducting audits and preparing detailed reports.
  • Familiarity with environmental and OSHA regulations applicable to the region.
  • Strong time-management abilities.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Awareness of local regulatory bodies is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or environmental engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in an environmental/safety capacity within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
This facility is subject to ITAR regulations; applicants must be U.S. Citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Salary Range (annual): $56,000 - $98,000
