EHS Compliance Coordinator
Position Overview:
This entry-level Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator role is designed for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of EHS experience, particularly in a maritime setting.
The chosen individual will conduct site inspections of the facility, generate EHS compliance documentation, maintain safety records, collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to OSHA and regulatory standards, and facilitate safety training sessions focused on Injury and Illness Prevention Programs.
Required Skills:- EHS Experience (minimum 2 years)
- Experience in a maritime or shipyard environment
- U.S. Citizenship
- Experience in organizing and conducting safety training
- Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory compliance
This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a duration of 4 months.
Work Environment:
This position is fully on-site. The role is situated within a shipyard repair and maintenance setting, requiring prior experience in similar conditions. The company culture promotes collaboration, with departments working cohesively and employees feeling appreciated. The team exhibits strong tenure, reflecting a stable work atmosphere.
The EHS Coordinator will engage with all departments within the shipyard, reporting to the EHS Supervisor and Director of EHS.
The standard work hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.About Actalent:
