Key Responsibilities

This role is pivotal in the formulation and execution of EHS programs aimed at ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across Apple facilities.


Primary Duties Include:

  • Ensuring facility EHS compliance
  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Performing industrial hygiene exposure evaluations
  • Reviewing R&D equipment
  • Assessing facility construction designs
  • Delivering EHS training
  • Providing emergency response support

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in:

  • Hazardous energy voltage testing and electrical safety
  • EHS risk and exposure assessments
  • Safety protocols for lithium-ion batteries
  • Facility construction EHS design reviews
  • New equipment safety evaluations
  • Equipment safety programs
  • Laser safety management
  • Understanding fire and gas life safety systems
  • Familiarity with ISO/ANSI Standards, CalOSHA Standards, NFPA, and California Fire Code

Skills and Abilities

The candidate should demonstrate the capability to:

  • Maintain EHS permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct and document workplace safety inspections
  • Manage EHS training programs through Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Assess physical and health hazards and recommend appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant EHS discipline is required.


Additional Skills

Experience in the following areas is advantageous:

  • Building positive relationships with regulatory agencies
  • Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders
