Position Overview:

Compeer Financial is in search of motivated and innovative professionals to join our esteemed workplace culture. This role involves promoting and selling our insurance offerings to both existing and potential clients, while also driving new business in agricultural risk management services.

The ideal candidate will integrate agricultural insights with a thorough understanding of client operations to present effective and practical solutions to the challenges faced by clients.

Regular client meetings will take place on-site to discuss insurance options, and collaboration with team members will be essential to provide insurance expertise across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively market insurance products and expertise by establishing strong relationships with clients, prospects, and industry influencers to generate new business and referrals.
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships through regular interactions and strategic sales initiatives.
  • Deliver comprehensive insurance services that add value to the client experience.
  • Manage prospect files, develop ongoing prospecting strategies, and achieve sales targets for Compeer's insurance division.
  • Work collaboratively to meet the objectives set for new business growth within the assigned market.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including applications, production reports, acreage reports, and claims for clients.
  • Review coverage options with clients throughout the year to ensure proper claim reporting.
  • Oversee claims processes to ensure timely resolution for clients and Approved Insurance Providers.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of crop insurance products offered by Compeer Financial and all relevant eligibility regulations.
  • Stay updated on product details and program modifications.
  • Serve as an agricultural business resource for clients, enhancing industry knowledge in areas such as soil management, fertilizers, seed varieties, farm technology, and animal husbandry.
  • Effectively communicate risk management strategies that align with client needs through our product offerings.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the agribusiness or farming sector, or related fields is essential.
  • Current state insurance license for crop insurance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with crop insurance programs, grain marketing, finance, and macroeconomic principles.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Compeer's insurance products and services, along with credit operations.
  • Awareness of farm production methods and farm business management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and sales skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and other relevant accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational and client service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of the organization's brand.
