Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively promote insurance products and services by cultivating relationships with clients, prospects, and industry influencers to drive new business and referrals.
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships through consistent communication and strategic sales outreach.
  • Deliver enhanced insurance services that add value to our clients.
  • Keep detailed prospect records, develop ongoing prospecting strategies, and meet established sales targets for our insurance division.
  • Work towards achieving team objectives for new business growth within the assigned market.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including applications, production reports, acreage reports, and claims for clients.
  • Review client coverage selections throughout the year to ensure any potential claims are properly reported.
  • Oversee claims to ensure timely resolution for clients and approved insurance providers.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the crop insurance products offered by Compeer Financial and relevant eligibility regulations.
  • Stay updated on product specifics and program modifications.
  • Serve as an agricultural business resource for clients, enhancing industry knowledge in areas such as soil management, fertilizers, seed varieties, farming technology, and animal husbandry.
  • Effectively communicate risk management strategies that align with client needs through our product offerings.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the agribusiness or farming sector, or a closely related field, is essential.
  • Current state insurance license for crop insurance is preferred.
  • General understanding of crop insurance programs, grain marketing, finance, and macroeconomic principles.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Compeer's insurance products and services, as well as credit operations.
  • Understanding of farm production methods and business management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and sales skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and related accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and client service orientation.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of the organization's brand.
