As a Patient Service Representative, you will be the welcoming face for our patients, ensuring their experience is seamless and enjoyable. Your role will involve efficiently managing appointment scheduling and navigating insurance processes with expertise.
This position is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and respond to voicemails promptly.
- Check in new and returning patients, notifying clinical staff of their arrival.
- Gather essential information from new patients, including registration and medical history forms.
- Assist patients at checkout, including payment collection and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Address inquiries from walk-in patients regarding insurance acceptance and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate communication logs for patient interactions.
- Review and adjust the daily clinic schedule as necessary.
- Ensure all bonding approvals are confirmed and active with insurance.
- Communicate the cancellation policy clearly to patients.
- Generate end-of-day reports and reconcile collected payments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service.
- At least 2 years of experience in a patient service role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Working Hours:
Monday – Wednesday: 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM
Friday: 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Two Saturdays per month.
