Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to drive the growth of our expanding product portfolio across various markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset, with a proven track record of success in specialty chemical sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a robust commercial pipeline of prospects and leads through effective cold calling, networking, and online research.
  • Sell our products, competencies, and capabilities by delivering compelling sales presentations to prospective customers, highlighting the unique value propositions of our offerings.
  • Establish and nurture deep, collaborative relationships with customers to foster loyalty and expand share of wallet.
  • Deliver results that delight our shareholders by solving complex customer problems, negotiating terms, and closing sales deals effectively to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective account plans to guide resource allocation and activities, analyzing sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Track and report progress to senior leadership through Ascent's Commercial Pipeline, analyzing outcomes of won/lost business and adjusting strategies as needed to improve results and achieve new business development targets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related field, with a demonstrated history of success in specialty chemical sales.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a keen ability to handle objections and overcome challenges.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and drive sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven by achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Business Management, Marketing, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Sales experience and application expertise in specific markets such as CASE, Personal Care, Textiles, or other.
