Transportation Sales Executive Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Transportation Sales Executive to drive business growth in Canada and the Midwest regions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Intermodal and Domestic Tank sales, with a focus on developing new business and maintaining a strong customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our Intermodal and Domestic Tank business in Canada and the Midwest.
  • Create and implement business plans to grow the customer base, increase shipment volume, and boost revenue while maintaining profitability.
  • Negotiate rates and service terms with customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and identify growth opportunities.
  • Identify customer needs and communicate those needs promptly to operations.
  • Work closely with the broader sales team to support revenue generation across the business.
  • Draft customer proposals that align with service offerings.
  • Manage and finalize customer contracts and payment terms.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and attend customer events.
  • Submit a weekly itinerary and participate in regular sales meetings.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Transportation Sales, with a focus on Intermodal and Domestic Tank business.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve payment or collection issues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in identifying customer needs and collaborating with operations to deliver on those needs.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing sales strategies and securing contracts.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to attend and host client entertainment events.
  • Ability to provide a weekly travel plan and attend sales meetings regularly.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Canada and the Midwest.
  • Knowledge of the Houston market is a plus but not required.
