Position: Property Finance Specialist - Expanding Management Firm

Location: Hybrid Work Model

Our client is a comprehensive, private real estate investment organization that focuses on acquiring, developing, and overseeing a rapidly expanding collection of residential and mixed-use properties across New England. With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, our client fosters a collaborative work culture where team members are encouraged to share ideas and drive meaningful improvements.

Currently, our client is seeking a meticulous Property Finance Specialist to become part of their vibrant team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily financial operations of a real estate portfolio, with an emphasis on multifamily properties. This position provides a hybrid work setup, allowing for close collaboration with senior leadership and the opportunity to gain invaluable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily financial tasks, including accounts payable review, cash management, and wire transfers.
  • Oversee the monthly general ledger closing process and prepare workpapers, ensuring precision and compliance.
  • Create monthly reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts to satisfy operational and investor requirements.
  • Work alongside the real estate team to formulate and uphold annual budgets.
  • Review tax submissions and ensure they align with financial records.
  • Prepare necessary local and state filings as required.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within the real estate sector.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an emphasis on prioritization and time management.
  • Analytical thinking and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar real estate general ledger systems is preferred.

Compensation Details:

  • Base salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
  • Comprehensive benefits and incentives package
