One of the largest real estate development companies in New England is looking to add a Senior Accountant to a growing team. You will be responsible for the financial accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties. In this role you will:

Oversee financial operations for assigned properties, including tenant interaction, general ledger accuracy, and monthly reporting.Analyze financials, create GAAP statements, and reconcile accounts (balance sheet, P&L).Handle daily/monthly tasks like wire transfers, cash projections, and invoice payments.Process fees, payables, monitor security deposits, and prepare bank reconciliations.Review expenses, explain variances, generate reports per lender/authority requirements.Analyze accruals, reconcile subsidiary reports, and prepare budgets/year-end reconciliations.Work with internal teams to gather information and assist with audits.Provide top-notch support to internal and external clients.Perform other assigned tasks.This role is hybrid/onsite in downtown Boston with the possibility of fully remote depending on skills and experience. Candidates local to the Boston area will be given preference.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.2+ years of property accounting experience.Proficiency in property management software (Yardi is a huge bonus).Strong communication & analytical skills.Enthusiasm to learn new skills and take on tasks as needed.Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time off
