Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in developing a profitable portfolio within the designated underwriting territory for Everest Wholesale Property, reporting directly to the Head of Wholesale Property.

Responsibilities include:

  • Formulating and executing a growth strategy for the region while enhancing brand visibility for Everest.
  • Building and managing a diverse and profitable book of business.
  • Establishing and nurturing productive relationships with appointed brokers.
  • Implementing and overseeing pricing strategies and risk selection standards that align with strategic objectives and financial targets.
  • Collaborating effectively with Actuarial, Claims, Loss Control, Operations, Finance, and IT teams.
  • Providing mentorship and coaching to junior underwriters.
  • Staying informed about competitor strategies and the overall insurance landscape.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or a related field is required, with insurance designations being advantageous. Candidates should have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in commercial property underwriting, demonstrating the ability to support leadership in developing strategies for a profitable portfolio.

Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, disciplined, and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong analytical capabilities in assessing risk exposures and natural hazards are essential.
