Job Overview:
As a key member of our engineering team, the Process Engineer will play a vital role in the development, installation, validation, and enhancement of intricate manufacturing processes and systems tailored for Robotic Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:

  • Promote an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Lead the development and validation of processes specific to New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
  • Oversee process optimization and cost-reduction strategies for ongoing operations.
  • Draft business and operational planning documents for capital equipment and plant infrastructure.
  • Implement technological advancements and tool enhancements to achieve Safety, Quality, and Cost objectives.
  • Conduct critical process evaluations, including Risk and Hazard assessments.
  • Be prepared to travel approximately 25% of the time to collaborate on projects.

About the Team:
The Process Engineering Team collaborates closely with new product design teams to establish assembly sequences, provide feedback on design for assembly, create work instructions, prepare facility infrastructure, and lead the identification, acquisition, and validation of tools, fixtures, and equipment for NPI and other operations within our manufacturing facilities.

This team is responsible for conducting technical assessments for products assembled internally, as well as evaluating and implementing new technical skills, capabilities, and infrastructure to meet future demands.

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems.
  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or a related field.
  • The ability to manage and deliver projects under tight timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in drafting white papers and organizational communications.
  • Proficiency in Process Optimization Tools, including programming, mapping, simulation, or various algorithms.
  • Experience in a New Product Introduction environment, including familiarity with the Phase-Gate process.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard Problem Solving Tools such as 8D, Fishbone/Cause-Effect, or CAPA methodology.
  • Experience with Quality-Statistical tools such as PFMEA and various statistical techniques including control charting, Pareto analysis, or histograms.
  • Experience in reviewing and generating product/fixture designs using Solidworks.
  • Experience in reviewing and generating plant layouts using AutoCAD.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns throughout the software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems related to robotics and other machinery.
