Regional Sales Executive

Location: Knoxville, TN

JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Executive is tasked with meeting or surpassing sales and service objectives primarily within dental practices and laboratories in a designated region. This role involves effectively marketing and promoting the company's products, solutions, and services to both existing and prospective clients, adhering to the organizational policies and guidelines.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and execute a sales strategy for both current and potential clients, assessing their needs and preferences. Present suitable products, solutions, and services.
  • Evaluate and analyze sales trends within the territory. Strategically plan sales activities to ensure the territory meets or exceeds set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain consistent communication with existing clients to enhance relationships and ensure satisfaction with the products and services provided; initiate and oversee innovative marketing efforts aimed at expanding the core business.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients; devise and implement creative strategies to convert these prospects from competitors to loyal customers.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders to leverage these connections for increased market share.
  • Keep precise customer records and files to ensure comprehensive and current customer information is accessible within the organization.
  • Report to management regarding any product concerns, loss of key clients, or competitive sales tactics that may impact local sales positively or negatively.
  • Stay informed about products, technologies, clinical research, competitive landscape, and other relevant information to inform strategies and tactics for commercial activities.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all company policies and procedures, demonstrating the ability to implement them effectively at the regional level.
  • Establish and uphold a travel schedule that allows for regular engagement with existing and potential clients, aligning with the sales plan and logical routing.
  • Manage the assigned geographical territory within the allocated budget for expenses.
  • Complete all administrative tasks promptly.
  • Participate in national and local trade shows and company meetings as necessary. Support established educational initiatives when clients from the territory are attending.
  • This position will be based out of Knoxville, TN or nearby areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or a combination of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of results-driven sales experience with a focus on the medical device sector, or equivalent experience with direct competitors.
  • Eligibility to operate a company vehicle is a fundamental requirement of this position.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% overnight.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven ability to understand and articulate complex technical product and clinical information related to industry offerings.
  • Demonstrated professional sales capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in computer applications.
