Henry Carlson Construction, LLC is in search of a highly skilled Financial Executive Officer (FEO) to become a vital part of our organization. In this pivotal position, the FEO will manage all financial dimensions of our enterprise, encompassing financial strategy, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to steer financial initiatives, enhance performance, and guarantee the fiscal integrity and sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and assess the organization's financial function and performance.
  • Engage in the formulation of the company's strategic plans and programs as a collaborative partner.
  • Analyze and advise on the implications of both short-term and long-term planning, the introduction of new revenue-generating strategies, and regulatory actions. This role is accountable for the preparation and management of tax submissions.
  • Establish credibility for the finance department by delivering timely and precise analyses of budgets, financial reports, and trends to support the Executive Team.
  • Enhance and enforce policies and procedures that improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of organizational budgets and forecasts, while educating relevant personnel on financial matters impacting their budgets.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Manage banking relationships and develop strategies to optimize cash flow.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process that includes minimum cash thresholds for operational needs.
  • Advise on financial aspects of contracts and agreements entered by the organization.
  • Manage annual insurance renewals and evaluate the finance division's structure for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and annual audits.
  • Coordinate the monthly financial close process and ensure completeness of reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for review with the Executive Team.
  • Serve as a liaison for the annual audit and assist with documentation for various audits.
  • Act consistently with the organization's core values of integrity, teamwork, and quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • CPA or Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful experience as a CFO or 10+ years in finance with progressive leadership roles.
  • Experience in construction or project-based accounting is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
