Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct, develop, and assess the organization's financial functions and performance.
  • Engage in the formulation of corporate strategies and initiatives as a strategic ally.
  • Analyze and provide insights on the implications of both short-term and long-term planning, including the introduction of new revenue-generating strategies and compliance with regulations. This role includes overseeing the preparation and management of tax submissions.
  • Establish credibility for the finance department by delivering timely and precise analyses of budgets, financial reports, and trends to support the Executive Team.
  • Enhance and/or create, implement, and uphold organizational policies and procedures that will improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of budgets and financial forecasts, facilitating continuous improvement in the budgeting process through education of key personnel on financial matters.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and leadership on decision-making issues impacting the organization, such as equipment acquisitions and potential partnerships.
  • Manage banking relationships and implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow forecasting process and reporting system.
  • Advise on financial aspects of contracts and agreements, including insurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage annual insurance renewals and evaluate the finance division's structure for ongoing improvement.
  • Supervise general ledger maintenance, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and annual audits.
  • Coordinate the monthly financial closing process across all divisions.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for review with the Executive Team.
  • Act in accordance with the Company's core values of integrity, teamwork, quality, and safety.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • CPA or Master's degree is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of successful experience as a CFO or over 10 years in finance with progressive leadership roles.
  • Experience in construction or project-based accounting is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to foster effective working relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
