Position Summary:
We are looking for a committed and empathetic Patient Care Technician to become part of our healthcare team at Advanced Healthcare of Albuquerque. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting patients and assisting them with their everyday needs. Your contributions will be essential in promoting the comfort and health of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid patients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers, employing appropriate lifting methods
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
  • Provide support during medical procedures and treatments
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Assist with meal times and ensure patients receive adequate nutrition
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to enhance the patient experience

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician or in a related field is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures
  • Knowledge of basic life support techniques
  • Proficient in medical documentation and record-keeping
  • Experience in a hospital or medical office setting is advantageous
  • Understanding of human anatomy and physiology
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus

Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and capability to follow instructions precisely
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
