Position Overview

The Sales Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing customer relationships and driving sales initiatives. This position is essential for maintaining a well-organized sales environment and supporting the sales team in various capacities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with customers and prospects regularly to uncover potential sales opportunities for both new and pre-owned trucks and trailers.
  2. Maintain an organized database of current customers and sales leads, ensuring accessibility for all departments.
  3. Assist sales representatives in preparing sales quotes when they are unable to do so due to time constraints.
  4. Support the sales team with the management of sales assistance for new trucks, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation.
  5. Serve customers and prospects visiting the dealership in the absence of sales personnel.
  6. Facilitate the rental process for customers when the rental manager is unavailable.
  7. Organize and update used truck inventory files, including images and specifications, within the dealership's database.
  8. Input used truck specifications and images onto the company website to enhance online visibility.
  9. Collaborate with the Sales Manager to gather data for monthly direct mail campaigns.
  10. Execute advertising strategies for new and used trucks as directed by the Sales Manager.
  11. Conduct follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction with their purchases and services.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate used trucks for trade-in value when necessary.
  2. Travel to customer locations to assist in the sales process.
  3. Participate in sales and marketing initiatives, including surveys and trade shows.
  4. Deliver vehicles to customers alongside sales personnel.
  5. Maintain the presentation of the truck lot, ensuring vehicles are properly staged and displayed.
  6. Coordinate service and rig-up processes for trucks.
  7. Ensure that all sales brochures are current and readily available.

Internal contacts include members of the Executive Team, Leadership Team, General Managers, and Sales Team.

Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma is required, along with at least two years of retail sales experience, preferably in the heavy or medium-duty truck sector. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Candidates should possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze market data and prepare sales quotes. Proficiency in computer operations is necessary, along with a commitment to the company's core values.

Physical Requirements

This role may require physical activities such as tilting truck hoods and climbing into cabs to demonstrate vehicles or assess their value.
