Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at RadNet. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Obtain and verify patient information, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Collect and log co-pays and fees.
  • Answer and transfer incoming phone calls.
  • Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments, confirm appointments, and notify staff of changes as needed.
  • Provide patients with orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and offer directions to facilities if necessary.
  • Coordinate with back-office staff for timely and effective patient care.
  • Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and patient health information.
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.
