Your daily responsibilities.

As a Claims Consultant, your role will encompass:

Claims Oversight:
  • Actively manage claims from the initial report through to resolution, ensuring clear communication with clients and internal teams regarding claim status.
  • Reduce client claim risks through strategic claims management.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes with adjusters on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain accurate data within the agency management system.
  • Organize and participate in claim review meetings and presentations for new business as needed.
Claims Knowledge:
  • Establish yourself as a trusted claims expert within the marketplace; engage with the agency and community to share insights on claims and their impact on risk management.
  • Pursue ongoing education and stay informed on trends related to coverage and claims management.
  • Provide strategic advice on coverage and claims to clients and internal teams.
  • Deliver training and educational resources to team members and clients on claims handling and case studies.
Claims Analysis & Trends:
  • Monitor and report on claims activity trends; ensure agency teams are aware of any coverage or carrier issues.
  • Compile claims-related data, including loss statistics and cost reduction opportunities, to support the development of action plans for managing clients' total cost of risk.
  • Advise internal marketing, sales, and service teams on trending coverage issues to enhance client understanding of available risk management options.
Carrier Engagement:
  • Develop strong relationships with adjusters and claims team members to foster partnerships that meet both client and carrier needs.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers to resolve issues as they arise.
Your qualifications.

We are eager to connect with candidates who possess the following skills:
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of prior claims experience is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-line carrier or brokerage claims is required.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is necessary.
  • Professional designations are advantageous.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A capacity to influence and negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping systems, web-based tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.

  • Possession of a Property & Casualty License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
