Job Title: Instrument Operator

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Operator to join our team at Actalent. As an Instrument Operator, you will play a critical role in assisting with daily survey activities in a variety of field conditions under the supervision of a Survey Party Chief.

About the Role:

This position involves working on a variety of FDOT projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, Geodetic Leveling, Subdivisions, and As-built. You will work in 3-person crews (Rodman, Instrument Operator, and Party Chief), though some projects may require 4-person crews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily survey activities in various field conditions
  • Work on a variety of FDOT projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, Geodetic Leveling, Subdivisions, and As-built
  • Collaborate with a 3-person crew (Rodman, Instrument Operator, and Party Chief) or 4-person crew as required
Requirements:
  • Survey experience and knowledge of FDOT projects
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions, including the Florida heat and everglades
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
