Ophthalmic Technician

Florida Vision Institute is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in Jupiter, Florida. As a key member of our multi-specialty ophthalmology practice, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for examinations and conduct preliminary tests, including visual acuity assessments and medical history documentation.
- Perform routine vision screening examinations, administer eye medications, and maintain ophthalmic instruments.
- Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures, and travel to other locations as needed to support clinical needs.
- Document patient information accurately and in accordance with compliance guidelines.
- Perform additional testing as requested by doctors, including retinoscopy and refractometry.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and doctors.
- Basic computer literacy required.
- Highly energetic with a positive attitude and willingness to travel to other offices occasionally.
- Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours and type or write legibly in a dimly lit setting.
