G Brock Magruder MD PA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinicians in delivering best-in-class ophthalmic and optometric care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for ophthalmology examinations by dilating pupils, checking visual acuity, and recording medical history.
- Perform routine vision screening examinations, administer eye medications, and clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments.
- Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures, and provide primary ophthalmic care to patients.
- Verify patient information, record medical history, and confirm the purpose of visit.
- Accurately record all information in the EMR system according to established standards and physician requirements.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in ophthalmology preferred.
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
