Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Florida Vision Institute. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in delivering top-notch eye care services.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Conduct preliminary exams, capture medical history, and document patient information accurately.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Perform basic and routine vision screening examinations, administer eye medications, and clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments.
- Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Travel to other locations as needed to support clinical needs.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and doctors.
- Basic computer literacy required.
- Highly energetic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to walk and stand for eight hours.
- Ability to type or write legibly in a dimly lit setting.
