Welcome to Hoffman & Hoffman IncControl System Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Control System Design Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects. In this position, you will be responsible for the selection and development of hardware designs for Building Automation Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret project specifications, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical plans, along with customer requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive design packages utilizing AutoCAD, ePlans, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Create detailed panel layouts, system wiring diagrams, equipment schematics, and additional documentation.
  • Offer technical assistance to the project field team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software and knowledgeable about HVAC systems.
  • Experience with PLC hardware such as Rockwell, Siemens, etc.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands; bending as needed.
  • Occasional pushing/pulling of weights up to 12 lbs. and lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs.
  • Rarely lifting/carrying weights between 11-20 lbs., reaching above shoulder height, and squatting/kneeling.
