About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Performance and Observability Engineer to join our team at Albano Systems, Inc. as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and Maintain Observability Capabilities: Partner with SRE, AIOps, and other teams to assess, strategize, and build solutions for complex application and infrastructure observability needs to ensure production stability and visibility.
  • Drive Performance and Stability Improvements: Work closely with Application development, Infrastructure, Database, and middleware teams to ensure optimal end-user experience by driving performance and stability improvements of critical business applications.
  • Develop and Implement Monitoring Solutions: Configure, maintain, and develop monitoring dashboards using APM tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Akamai, etc.
  • Monitor Application Stability Trends: Identify opportunities to improve performance and/or availability by monitoring application stability trends in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Automate System Scalability: Continuously work to improve system resiliency, performance, and efficiency by automating system scalability and making recommendations for design changes.
  • Contribute to Root Cause Analysis: Work with Incident/Problem Manager to drive blameless RCA, postmortems, and RCRs by providing engineering and tool expertise.
  • Develop Next-Gen Monitoring Solutions: Develop next-gen, smart, automated monitoring & alerting solutions in software delivery and production environments using tools/frameworks like Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Ansible, Splunk, Akamai, Open Telemetry, and AWS monitoring capabilities CloudWatch, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) or Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field plus eight (8+) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Technical Skills: Experienced in Dynatrace, LoadRunner, and Splunk for performance analysis, alerting, and monitoring solutions implementation, while being proficient in performance testing process and automation.
  • Cloud-Native Technologies: Expertise in cloud-native technologies, including containerization, microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting skills, and identifying root cause of issues.
  • APM Tools and Event Management: Proficient in utilizing and supporting APM tools in a large enterprise environment and experience in Event Management in ServiceNow.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
