Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Claims Manager to oversee our Life, Accident, and Health claims operations. This role involves being a subject matter expert in claims adjudication and providing leadership to our department.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the training and development initiatives for department leaders and their teams.
  • Monitoring claims status reporting and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service while meeting key performance indicators.
  • Providing technical guidance for accurate and timely claims processing.
  • Collaborating with legal and compliance teams on regulatory inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve consistent performance metrics related to claims turnaround, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize effective forecasting and capacity planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Address customer escalations promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze operational processes to identify efficiency improvements.
  • Set clear expectations and enhance collaboration within the team.
  • Serve as a resource and role model for all claims department members.
  • Foster a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Develop action plans for underperforming associates in collaboration with HR.
  • Lead and participate in claims-related projects alongside daily responsibilities.
  • Review high-value claims for accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of five years of relevant claims insurance experience.
  • At least three years of leadership experience.
  • Health claims experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of customer service focus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
