POSITION SUMMARY
The Commonwealth of Virginia is inviting applications for a tenure-track faculty role at the rank of Assistant Professor within the Department of Chemical Engineering. The ideal candidate will focus on research areas such as energy, materials, and catalysis, while also being open to other relevant fields. DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Department currently comprises a dedicated team of full-time faculty members, including several early career awardees and distinguished professorship holders. Our department supports a vibrant community of over 300 undergraduate and 60 graduate students. We take pride in our state-of-the-art facilities, primarily located in a newly constructed building. Our areas of specialization encompass biomedical engineering, catalysis and surface science, colloids and interfaces, membranes and advanced separations, polymer science and engineering, process design and systems engineering, and supercritical fluids. The department's annual research funding exceeds $4.0 million.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will possess a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline, demonstrating a strong academic background and the ability to collaborate effectively. A commitment to interdisciplinary research and teaching, along with a readiness to explore new disciplinary boundaries to tackle complex technical and societal challenges, is essential.
