Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Auditor to join our team at InterMed, P.A. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our medical coding practices by conducting regular audits of medical records and implementing effective education and training programs for staff.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, medical terminology, and billing practices. You will also have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits of medical records to identify coding errors and discrepancies
  • Research and analyze coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Develop and implement coding education programs for staff
  • Maintain accurate records of audits performed and results
  • Collaborate with clinical coding educator to develop education plans and communicate audit results
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required; Certified Officer of Compliance (COC) or Certified Risk Coder (CRC) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, medical terminology, and billing practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems

Estimated salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
