As the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor, you will manage the EHS team to ensure adherence to all relevant EHS regulations while aiding in the achievement of both company and client goals. Your Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support to the EHS team, ensuring all EHS compliance aspects are addressed with the utmost diligence.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and communicate EHS processes and protocols.
  • Review, implement, and ensure adherence to company policies as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of facility requirements related to EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Research, develop, and communicate EHS programs and solutions; create action plans as necessary.
  • Facilitate safety meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education.

Qualifications for Success at GXO:

To be considered, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and familiarity with computerized scanning equipment.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may encompass weekends.

It would be advantageous if you also possess:

  • CPR/AED/BBP certification or background.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience in a related field or military service.
  • Strong time management and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in EHS within a warehousing or distribution setting.
  • An understanding of industry-specific state and federal regulations.
