Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Sonic Automotive's Jaguar Land Rover South Atlanta dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Service Appointments: Coordinate with customers to schedule service appointments, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service throughout the service process.
  • Estimate and Authorization: Provide accurate and detailed estimates for labor and parts, obtaining customer authorization before proceeding with repairs.
  • Repair Progress Updates: Keep customers informed of repair progress, addressing any concerns or changes in the estimate or promised time.
  • Test Drives and Quality Control: Conduct test drives or refer to test technicians as necessary, ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer standards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, meeting or exceeding manufacturer, zone, or branch averages.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Advice: Educate customers on vehicle maintenance best practices, promoting the value of regular maintenance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.
  • Company Safety Policies: Follow all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any accidents or incidents to management.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a dealership position, preferably in a service advisor role.
  • Certifications: ASE certification preferred.
  • Personal Qualities: Professional appearance, sales experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background Checks: All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA and pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license.
