Substance Use Disorder Specialist

Cedar Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Substance Use Disorder Professional to join our team in Tacoma, WA.
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and empathetic professional to provide individual and group counseling services to patients struggling with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group counseling services to patients with substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the effectiveness of treatment.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices.
- Associate's degree in human services or related field.
- Registration or certification with Washington DOH.
- Prior training in counseling or addiction treatment.
- History of performing in a professional capacity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
