POSITION SUMMARY:

Full Time - Days (8a-5p)

The Staffing Coordinator LPN is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the educational initiatives for facility personnel, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the established policies and procedures of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To fulfill this role effectively, the individual must satisfactorily perform essential functions, which include but are not limited to:
  • Assess staffing requirements and create work schedules accordingly.
  • Generate daily staffing reports, evaluate employee performance, and present findings to management.
  • Design, coordinate, and execute educational programs and in-service training based on identified needs.
  • Conduct a 75-hour training course for certified nursing aides as mandated.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions for all newly hired staff.
  • Organize post-offer examinations, agility tests, and other assessments for new hires.
  • Prepare analytical reports and recommendations for the Administrator regarding the in-service department's operations.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed.
  • Review, approve, and manage PTO requests.
  • Validate employee time sheets for accuracy.
  • Compile various reports, including staffing consistency metrics.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly and quarterly meetings focused on infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain precise records of in-service attendance and other relevant documentation, such as license and certification renewal dates.
  • Execute emergency procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • Identify, intervene, and report accidents and incidents promptly.
  • Engage in surveys conducted by authorized regulatory bodies.
  • Document patient accidents and incidents and provide training to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Review documentation for errors or inconsistencies and implement necessary corrections.
  • Complete additional medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting as required.
  • Verify the validity of personnel licensure and certification to meet state and federal standards.
  • Adhere to established universal precautions and isolation protocols.
  • Foster an environment of positivity, warmth, and attentiveness to patients' personal and healthcare needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or similar healthcare setting.
  • Experience in Case/Utilization Management.
EDUCATIONAL AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Possession of an LPN License in the state of employment.
  • Current LPN certification in the State of Tennessee.
  • CPR Certification.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Position may necessitate unscheduled overtime and weekend work.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential.
  • Travel may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds may be necessary.
SIGN-ON BONUS TERMS:
  • Available for Full-Time positions only.
  • Paid in two installments: half at 90 days and the remainder at 180 days of employment.
  • Applicable to new hires only; current employees and rehires are not eligible.
