Job Summary

We're seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our team who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring our guests have a wonderful experience. As a key member of our front office team, you'll be responsible for greeting customers, handling registration, and providing accurate information about our hotel and local attractions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome, using a positive and clear speaking voice to understand their needs and respond with appropriate action.
    • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from our computer system, confirming pertinent details like room rate and number of guests.
    • Promote our hotel's marketing programs and make appropriate selections of rooms based on guest needs.
    • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization, handle cash, and balance an assigned house bank.
    • Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using our computer system.
    • Answer the telephone using positive and clear English communication, input messages into the computer, and retrieve mail and packages for customers as requested.
    • Close guest accounts at check-out and ascertain satisfaction, negotiating compromises as needed.
    • Remain calm and alert during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity, resolving complications like location changes or credit issues.
    • Field guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions and negotiate results.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
    • No prior experience required, but prior hospitality experience is preferred.
    • Individuals must meet minimum bonding standards.
    • All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
    • Applicants with additional language skills are preferred.
