Position: Facility Planner

Overview: As a Facility Planner, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational effectiveness by providing expert planning services. This position involves working collaboratively to support various business lines and ensure that facility projects align with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive master and facilities planning consultation, guiding the development of master plans and project classifications.
  • Prepare, update, and validate Property Records through thorough Asset Evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain Facility Requirements Plans, including justifications for Basic Facility Requirements and Facility Planning Documents.
  • Generate and validate essential project documentation, including economic analyses and cost estimates.
  • Formulate project proposals to address identified deficiencies and surpluses effectively.
  • Establish and validate land use plans that ensure compatibility across various functional categories.
  • Identify potential development constraints and encroachment issues, documenting findings for future reference.
  • Assist in the formulation of Installation and Area Development Plans, identifying sites for future facilities and reuse of existing structures.
  • Support the Facilities Inventory Program Manager with Class II Real Property issues, providing guidance and recommendations for improvement.
  • Review technical work for adequacy and compliance with established policies and criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and conduct training sessions related to facility planning and inventory management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Department of Defense planning or facility inventory.
  • Experience with Navy planning and facility inventory is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Background check required.
