Position Overview: The Housekeeping Manager plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities. This position offers a competitive salary and an opportunity for a bonus of up to $1000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee staffing schedules to guarantee thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, communal spaces, resident units, and outdoor grounds.
  • Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning agents in line with departmental guidelines, adhering to local, state, and federal safety regulations including MSDS, OSHA, and EPA standards.
  • Organize and implement annual deep cleaning initiatives for both resident units and shared areas.
  • Coordinate the preparation of units for new admissions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all facilities and manage inventory control for supplies, cleaning agents, and equipment.
  • Plan and lead training sessions and departmental meetings for housekeeping staff.
  • Possess the ability to recruit and hire team members.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or janitorial services within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proven capability to effectively schedule and manage staff.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with the senior community.

Work Environment and Safety:

  • Personal protective equipment will be provided or required.
  • Protective barriers at workstations.
  • Regular temperature checks.
  • Adherence to social distancing protocols.
  • Implementation of sanitizing and cleaning procedures.
