Overview: The Sand Management Operator plays a crucial role in the supervision and operation of sand management machinery at oil and gas lease sites. This position emphasizes the safe and efficient handling, transportation, and disposal of sand and other particulate materials linked to drilling and production activities. The operator is tasked with ensuring that sand management equipment, including sand dumps, operates effectively to uphold operational efficiency while adhering to environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Duties:
Operate sand management equipment including sand dumps, conveyors, and other related machinery.

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.

Coordinate with maintenance teams for any significant repairs or overhauls needed.

Manage the efficient loading, transport, and disposal of sand and other particulate materials from lease sites.

Ensure that sand disposal practices comply with environmental regulations and company policies.

Monitor sand levels and usage to optimize disposal processes and minimize operational downtime.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Maintain accurate records of sand management activities, equipment status, and any incidents or issues.

Report any safety hazards or operational issues immediately to the supervisor.

Collaborate with other team members, including lease operators and field technicians, to coordinate sand management activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience in Lease Operator, Flowback, or a similar role involving sand management is highly desirable.

Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations is required.

Flexibility to work nights every other month as part of the rotating schedule.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Some college or technical training preferred.

Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record required.

Must be able to pass all conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug screening, hair follicle test, MVR, agility, and fit for duty.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs.

Walking, bending, and stooping are required.

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.

Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
