Job Responsibilities

The Heavy Equipment Transport Operator is tasked with the safe operation of vehicles with a minimum capacity of 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight. Key responsibilities include:

  • Transporting equipment to various client locations using medium-duty flatbed trucks and semi-tractors.
  • Executing load-outs of equipment at the facility.
  • Engaging in repetitive heavy lifting.
  • Setting up and dismantling equipment, unloading, and positioning items on-site.
  • Possessing Class A CDL driving experience, with a preference for flatbed driving.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in securing loads, ensuring compliance with weight, width, and height regulations.
  • Familiarity with navigating lease roads.
  • Maintaining a DOT electronic log and physical Bill of Lading documentation.
  • Ensuring vehicles are inspected and compliant with regulations.
  • Adhering to all DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and meet company vehicle driving eligibility as per insurance standards.
  • Experience in energy services is advantageous.
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is conducted in various weather conditions, including rain, extreme heat, and cold, with exposure to moving machinery; conditions may include high winds, ice, snow, humidity, and dust.
  • Noise levels may require hearing protection.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking are expected.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently.
